Rising Star Cho Han-gyul Discusses His Role in 'Undercover Miss Hong'
Set to premiere on Saturday, the 17th at 9:10 PM, tvN's new weekend drama 'Undercover Miss Hong' is an office comedy set in the late 1990s. It follows elite securities supervisor Hong Geum-bo (played by Park Shin-hye) as she goes undercover as a 20-year-old rookie employee at a securities firm to investigate suspicious financial activities.
Cho described his character Albert Oh as seemingly naive but actually intelligent and meticulous. "He's cool and can easily befriend adults, which I hope viewers will find endearing," he said, expressing his fondness for the role. He also noted, "There are similarities and differences between Albert and me. I'd say our sync rate is about 50 percent," piquing curiosity.
Highlighting the comedic elements as a key attraction of 'Undercover Miss Hong', Cho urged viewers to focus on the humor. "While there are serious scenes, the comedy woven throughout is something I hope audiences will enjoy," he added. "If I were to sum up 'Undercover Miss Hong' in one word, it would be 'love'. It's a project I'm deeply attached to, and I love everyone on set. I hope viewers will show it lots of love and attention."
