Enchanting Romance Between a Gumiho and Human Unveiled in New SBS Drama
A mystical romance between a gumiho and a human is set to captivate audiences.

On the 16th, SBS will premiere its new Friday-Saturday drama, 'No Tail to Tell.' On the 7th, the production team released the main poster featuring the irresistible chemistry between the gumiho Eun-ho, played by Kim Hye-yoon, and the human Kang Si-yeol, played by Lomon.

'No Tail to Tell' is a fantasy romance that explores the chaotic journey of an MZ generation gumiho who doesn't want to become human and a narcissistic human. The drama promises a fresh take on the gumiho mythos, blending reality and imagination in a lively and witty narrative. Anticipation is high for this drama, which marks the beginning of SBS's 2026 lineup, with Kim Hye-yoon and Lomon's exciting pairing. The drama has already made waves, ranking in the top 10 of the TV drama category for two consecutive weeks in late December and early January, according to Good Data Corporation's FUNdex.

The main poster captures attention with Eun-ho and Kang Si-yeol appearing as if they've stepped out of an oriental painting. Eun-ho, who has lived as a gumiho for over 900 years to avoid becoming human, visually resembles the 'MZ youth' of today. However, the multiple tails fluttering behind her and the mysterious purple orb in her hand spark the imagination. The phrase above them, 'With this look! With this charm! It's only natural you'd fall for me. After all, I'm a gumiho, you know?' evokes Eun-ho's charming and confident voice. The intriguing romance between Eun-ho and Kang Si-yeol, which begins with animosity and evolves into destiny, is highly anticipated.

Kim Hye-yoon takes on the role of Eun-ho, an MZ gumiho who doesn't want to become human, continuing the legacy of K-gumiho. Avoiding even small good deeds to prevent becoming human and refraining from major misdeeds to maintain her thousand-year powers, Eun-ho's life is turned upside down by an unexpected event. Kim Hye-yoon shared, 'When I read the script, the character of the 'MZ gumiho' felt very appealing, and I thought I could showcase many new aspects.' She chose 'No Tail to Tell' as her next project after 'Lovely Runner.' Regarding her co-star Lomon, she added, 'We had many mutual acquaintances, so it felt like we already knew each other. He's a very kind, upright, and passionate actor,' raising expectations.

Lomon steps into the role of Kang Si-yeol, a world-class soccer player who is confident but not lazy, marking his foray into romantic comedy. His perfect life as a forward for a famous overseas club is disrupted by the gumiho Eun-ho. Lomon, who also found the script intriguing, stated, 'On the surface, Eun-ho and Kang Si-yeol seem strong, but as they bicker, they gradually grow closer, filling each other's loneliness and wounds. It's a light-hearted watch with emotional depth, and I was curious about how their relationship would develop.' He continued, 'The chemistry with Kim Hye-yoon wasn't something we forced; it naturally developed on set. She's such a talented actress that following her rhythm created synergy,' expressing gratitude to his co-star.

'No Tail to Tell' premieres on the 16th at 9:50 PM.
