Go Hyun-jung Wins Top Excellence Award Despite Absence at 2025 SBS Drama Awards

Go Hyun-jung received the Top Excellence Award despite her absence from the ceremony.

On the 31st, the '2025 SBS Drama Awards' took place at the SBS Prism Tower in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul. The event was hosted by broadcaster Shin Dong-yup, and actors Chae Won-bin and Heo Nam-jun.

In the Mini-Series Melodrama category, the Top Excellence Award was given to Park Hyung-sik for 'Treasure Island' and Go Hyun-jung for 'Mantis.' Park Hyung-sik expressed, "I feel strange. It seems like everything goes blank when I stand here. I'm so grateful to the 'Treasure Island' team. There were many difficult and exhausting shoots. The staff and actors worked hard. Seeing everyone always smiling and full of passion made me happy. I want to say thank you the most. I will continue to work hard with determination."

Go Hyun-jung did not attend the ceremony. Shin Dong-yup stated, "I will make sure the trophy is delivered to Go Hyun-jung."
The 'SBS Drama Awards' once again saw a high number of joint awards this year. The categories were divided into Genre & Action, Romantic Comedy, Melodrama, and Human & Fantasy, with 8 Top Excellence Awards, 9 Excellence Awards, and 8 Supporting Actor Awards given out. The Newcomer Award was also presented to a total of 8 recipients, 4 men and 4 women.
