K-Trot Star Seol Woon-do's Hit Song for Lim Young-woong Becomes a Major Success
On the December 24th episode of MBC's 'Radio Star,' a Christmas special featured guests Nam Jin, Seol Woon-do, Jadu, and Seunghee from Oh My Girl.
During the show, host Kim Gook-jin asked, "As a singer with a 44-year career, have you found a way to continue your success?" Seol Woon-do responded, "Just as K-pop is loved worldwide, there's no reason K-trot can't be as well. I've been writing new songs to fit the times and giving them to younger artists. Both the artists and their companies appreciate it, so I've been giving out many songs."
When Jang Do-yeon asked, "Which song has been the most profitable in terms of royalties?" Seol Woon-do answered, "Lim Young-woong's 'My Starry Love.'" Kim Gura added, "He's always a reliable artist."
Listening to this, Nam Jin humorously complained, "I also asked for a song, but he hasn't given me one yet." Seol Woon-do replied, "You're such a legend, and your standards for choosing songs are high. So even when I have a song ready, it's not easy to meet your expectations. You have a valuable stone at your house, and I'm writing a song hoping to get that stone," he joked, drawing laughter.
