Jeon Do-yeon Discusses Her Fearless Approach to Acting in 'The Price of Confession'
On October 12, an interview was conducted with Jeon Do-yeon, who plays Yoon-soo in Netflix's 'The Price of Confession,' at a café in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul. Jeon appeared with a fresh look, having traded her character Yoon-soo's long perm for a medium-length layered cut, and greeted the press in a lively pink cardigan.
'The Price of Confession' is a mystery thriller that revolves around Jeon Do-yeon's character, Yoon-soo, who is accused of murdering her husband, and Kim Go-eun's mysterious character, Mo-eun, who is known as a witch. The film explores the secrets and events that unfold between these two enigmatic women.
In a prior interview, Kim Go-eun expressed her admiration for Jeon, saying, "I felt it during 'Memories of the Sword' and again this time; senior Jeon Do-yeon never holds back. Watching her, there's a sense of anxiety that she might get hurt. She doesn't cut corners. Seeing her work so diligently even now makes me think, 'I should be like that too.' With her working so hard, how could I possibly take shortcuts? I realized I should approach things head-on as well. When both of us think alike, that's when synergy happens."
In response, Jeon Do-yeon humorously remarked, "The reason I don't hold back is simply because I don't know how to." She added, "I consider myself clumsy. In the prison van scene, I didn't know any tricks or methods. Go-eun led the way, and I received help while filming that scene," showcasing her humility.
Meanwhile, 'The Price of Confession' was released on October 5 and garnered 2.2 million views within just three days, ranking second globally in the non-English series category.
