Jeon Do-yeon Discusses Bond with Kim Go-eun and Success of 'The Price of Confession'
On December 12, an interview was conducted with Jeon Do-yeon, who plays Yoon-soo in Netflix's 'The Price of Confession,' at a café in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul. Jeon appeared with a fresh medium-length layered haircut, shedding the long permed hair of her character Yoon-soo, and greeted the press in a lively pink cardigan.
'The Price of Confession' is a mystery thriller that revolves around Jeon Do-yeon's character, Yoon-soo, who is accused of murdering her husband, and Kim Go-eun's character, Mo-eun, a mysterious figure known as a witch. The film explores the secrets and events that unfold between these two enigmatic women.
Jeon Do-yeon and Kim Go-eun reunited after a decade since their collaboration in the film 'Memories of the Sword.' Jeon reflected, "When we first met during 'Memories of the Sword,' Go-eun and I formed a personal bond. We shared common experiences. I had filmed 'Happy End,' and Go-eun had worked on 'Eungyo.' Both of us were young, and although we were acting, the public's perception could be hurtful." Both actresses have previously starred in films featuring explicit scenes.
Jeon continued, "Having gone through that myself, I hoped Go-eun would also explore brighter roles that are unique to her 20s. There are projects that can only be done at that age, and I wished she would seize those opportunities." As Jeon hoped, Kim Go-eun has since become one of the leading actresses in her 30s, known for her diverse roles and projects.
Meanwhile, 'The Price of Confession' was released on December 5 and quickly garnered 2.2 million views within three days, ranking second globally in the non-English series category.
