EXO's D.O. Reflects on Missing Kim Woo-bin and Shin Min-a's Wedding Due to MMA
On the 11th, D.O. met with reporters at a café in Samcheong-dong, Seoul, to discuss his role in the Disney+ original series 'Castaway City.'
'Castaway City' is an action drama about a young man named Tae-jung, played by Ji Chang-wook, who is wrongfully imprisoned and plans his revenge. D.O. plays Johan, a sculptor who manipulates crime scenes to cover up the crimes of VIPs.
D.O. is known to be close friends with Lee Kwang-soo and Kim Woo-bin. Regarding their reactions to his villainous role, he said, "I'm grateful for the many compliments. They said I didn't look like a typical villain and that I portrayed a challenging character well, which made me happy," he smiled.
As for the reactions from his fellow EXO members, he noted, "They haven't seen it yet. I also find it hard to watch my members act; it feels like watching family." He added, "They've seen short clips and said they liked it. They support me a lot," showcasing their strong bond.
When asked if he should prepare a monetary gift for missing the wedding, he confessed, "I'm also wondering what I should do." Regarding the wedding song, he revealed, "I was originally supposed to sing. I knew about the wedding early on and planned to sing 'Popcorn.' But then the MMA schedule came up. I was unsure how to tell Woo-bin hyung. We were both very disappointed." When asked who would sing instead, he said, "I don't know, but I'm not included anymore."
D.O. shared, "I recently met Shin Min-a sunbae for the first time at a Disney+ event. I hadn't had the chance to meet her before."
He continued, "I've known Woo-bin hyung for a long time. It's a blessing when someone you've known for so long gets married. I didn't see their relationship up close, but I could feel their sweetness from the side." He added, "They look happy together. Even after dating for a long time, you can still feel that 'pink' vibe." He also mentioned, "Woo-bin hyung still gives flower gifts. When I asked him about it, he said it was for Pepero Day. He even bought Pepero from a convenience store and had it beautifully wrapped. I'm not the type to do that, so I thought, 'He really pays attention to such details.' Seeing him prepare flowers, I felt they would always be 'pink' together."
When asked about his own thoughts on marriage, he replied, "I haven't thought about it at all yet."
