Doh Kyung-soo Praises Lee Kwang-soo's Professionalism in 'The City of Fragments'

Doh Kyung-soo, known for his role in Disney+ original series 'The City of Fragments,' recently expressed admiration for his close friend and co-star Lee Kwang-soo's professionalism as an actor.

On the 11th, Doh Kyung-soo met with reporters at a café in Samcheong-dong, Seoul, to discuss his role in the series. 'The City of Fragments' is an action drama about a young man named Tae-jung, played by Ji Chang-wook, who is wrongfully imprisoned and plans his revenge. Doh Kyung-soo plays Yohan, a sculptor who manipulates crime scenes to cover up the crimes of VIPs.

In the drama, Doh Kyung-soo collaborates with Lee Kwang-soo, who plays a villainous role. Doh remarked, "It was my first time seeing Kwang-soo hyung act on set. I usually see his everyday side, but watching him immerse himself in his role was surprising. I knew he was a good actor, but his ability to focus was incredible. I learned a lot from him."

Lee Kwang-soo's character, Do-kyung, is one of Yohan's VIP clients, the son of a powerful congressman who commits various crimes under his father's protection. His arrogant demeanor and authoritative attitude irritate Yohan. Doh Kyung-soo humorously commented, "He was really annoying. The audience should feel that way, and even on set, he was annoying," but also praised Lee's ability to embody the character.

Doh Kyung-soo shared his initial concerns about acting with a close friend, saying, "I thought I might not be able to look him in the eye or it might be awkward, but surprisingly, it helped me focus. I think it's because he acted so well."

In a web variety show 'Pinggye-go,' Yoo Jae-suk jokingly suggested that Doh Kyung-soo might have influenced Lee Kwang-soo's casting. Doh clarified, "I didn't even know Kwang-soo hyung was cast. The writer and director made the decision. I was surprised to hear he was involved. Jae-suk hyung was just joking."

The release schedule of 'The City of Fragments' coincided with the airing of the variety show 'Kong Kong Pang Pang.' Doh Kyung-soo commented on the contrasting images, "I think there are pros and cons. Some might watch 'The City of Fragments' after seeing 'Kong Kong Pang Pang,' and others might be curious about the variety show after watching the drama. I wasn't worried; I thought it might have a positive effect."
