SHINee's KEY Appears Unedited on 'I Live Alone' Amid Controversy
SHINee's KEY made an unedited appearance on the MBC variety show 'I Live Alone.' On December 6, KEY was embroiled in allegations of receiving illegal medical procedures from a non-medical professional, known as the 'Injection Aunt,' alongside Park Na-rae. While Park Na-rae halted all broadcasting activities on December 8, KEY has not issued any statement despite the situation escalating to the point of an official statement. MBC, after stating they were "checking" on the matter throughout December 12, aired the episode without any official comment.

The December 12 episode of 'I Live Alone' showcased KEY's daily life. He visited the in-laws of his close friend, dancer Kany, to help with kimchi-making and learned the process from Kany's mother-in-law. KEY made 70 heads of kimchi in one day, stating, "I always receive, so I wanted to help and learn the recipe."

The episode followed Major League Baseball player Kim Ha-seong's segment and transitioned to KEY's story. Although KEY did not appear in the opening, he joined the studio after the VCR screening. MC Jeon Hyun-moo, webtoon artist Kian84, producer Code Kunst, Lee Ju-seung, and Ku Sung-hwan were present. The recording seemingly took place before Park Na-rae's power abuse allegations and the 'Injection Aunt' controversy arose. Park Na-rae's face was not directly shown, and when Jeon Hyun-moo and KEY were in close-up shots, only their shoulders were visible. A two-shot of Jeon Hyun-moo and Park Na-rae sitting on the left in the studio was also avoided.

The connection between KEY and the individual in question, Lee, is drawing attention. On December 17 last year, Lee posted photos and videos of KEY's pets, Comme Des and Garçons, taken at KEY's home on Instagram. The post included the caption, "Comme Des, it's been over 10 years, why do you still glare? Garçons doesn't, why do you?" and tagged the location as UN Village in Hannam-dong. SM Entertainment, KEY's agency, has not commented on the connection with Lee.

SHINee member Onew is also caught up in rumors of acquaintance with Lee. Lee shared a signed CD from Onew on social media. In response, Griffin Entertainment stated on December 11, "Onew first visited the clinic in Sinsa-dong where Lee worked in April 2022 through a friend's recommendation. Considering the clinic's scale at the time, it was difficult to recognize the current medical license controversy," adding, "The visit was for skincare purposes, and the signed CD was a token of gratitude for the treatment."
