Kang Tae-oh Discovers Kim Se-jeong's True Identity in 'The Moon Flows Over the River'
Kang Tae-oh has uncovered the true identity of Kim Se-jeong's character.

In the 11th episode of MBC's Friday-Saturday drama 'The Moon Flows Over the River' (directed by Lee Dong-hyun, written by Jo Seung-hee), aired on the 12th, Lee Kang (played by Kang Tae-oh) realizes the true identity of Park Dal-i (played by Kim Se-jeong). The emotional reunion with his wife, whom he thought was dead, brought tears to the viewers' eyes. The episode recorded a nationwide rating of 5.6% and 5.1% in the metropolitan area, with the scene where Lee Kang discovers Park Dal-i's identity peaking at 5.9%, according to Nielsen Korea.

Park Dal-i, whose memories as Crown Princess Kang Yeon-wol (played by Kim Se-jeong) have returned, defies the concerns of Park Hong-nan (played by Park Ah-in) that Left State Councilor Kim Han-cheol (played by Jin Goo) would kill her and returns to the palace. She didn't want Lee Kang, who lived in nightmares after losing Kang Yeon-wol, to suffer the same pain. After asking King Lee Hee for help to protect her family and Lee Kang, Park Dal-i resolved to stay by Lee Kang's side and survive.

Park Dal-i's awakening also brought new realizations to King Lee Hee. Determined to protect Park Dal-i for the sake of his son, who was tormented by guilt after losing the queen and crown princess, King Lee Hee promised change, adding a sense of reassurance as time passed and the children grew.

Meanwhile, the fates of the two couples, Lee Kang and Park Dal-i, and Lee Woon (played by Lee Shin-young) and Kim Woo-hee (played by Hong Soo-joo), entangled by Left State Councilor Kim Han-cheol, began to unfold. Lee Kang, investigating the close associates of Kim Han-cheol, realized that the clothes of the Nameless Group were the same as those worn by the assassins who attacked him with Kim Woo-hee in the past. He decided to gather information through Kim Woo-hee.

However, Kim Woo-hee was confined in a separate palace, making access difficult. Park Dal-i arranged a meeting with Kim Woo-hee through the royal elder, Grand Queen Dowager Han (played by Nam Gi-ae). Sharing a common bond of affection, Park Dal-i gained Kim Woo-hee's trust and combined the information she provided with her knowledge from her days as a merchant to discover that the Nameless Group's hideout was in a mountain village in Yangju.

Upon receiving the information from Park Dal-i's letter, Lee Kang went to buy a map for the search and secretly followed King Lee Hee, who was out in the marketplace. He overheard a conversation between Lee Hee and Park Hong-nan, where Lee Hee said, "Protecting the concubine, no, the So-hun, is protecting my crown prince, my son," leaving Lee Kang deeply shocked.

Lee Kang, learning from Park Hong-nan that Park Dal-i was the deposed Crown Princess Kang Yeon-wol, recalled how Park Dal-i had always stayed close to him. Rushing to Park Dal-i, who had lived a fugitive life after losing her memory while trying to protect him, Lee Kang's face was filled with a mix of emotions.

After several missed encounters, Lee Kang finally faced Park Dal-i, or Crown Princess Kang Yeon-wol, and burst into tears, saying, "I'm so sorry." Comforting him, Park Dal-i replied, "At times like this, you should hug me, like a sticky rice cake," and opened her arms. The two embraced, their tearful reunion touching the hearts of viewers. The future of the 'KangDal' couple (Lee Kang + Park Dal-i), who promise to stick together like glue, is eagerly anticipated.

Meanwhile, Left State Councilor Kim Han-cheol, aiming to eliminate the thorn in his side, Park Dal-i, targeted her family hidden by King Lee Hee. As he began tracking Park Hong-nan, who claimed to be Park Dal-i's aunt, viewers are left wondering if Lee Kang and Park Dal-i can remain safe from Kim Han-cheol's clutches.

The poignant romance between Kang Tae-oh and Kim Se-jeong, deeply connected through their shared fate, continues in the 12th episode of MBC's Friday-Saturday drama 'The Moon Flows Over the River,' airing on the 13th at 9:40 PM.
