Mun Ka-young Honored as 'Actor of the Year' at KCA Culture and Entertainment Awards

Actress Mun Ka-young has been named 'Actor of the Year.'

Mun Ka-young attended the '30th Consumer Day KCA Culture and Entertainment Awards'(제30회 소비자의 날 KCA 문화연예 시상식) held in Yeoksam-dong, Seoul, on the 9th, where she received the '2025 Viewers' Choice Actor of the Year Award.'(2025 시청자가 뽑은 올해의 배우상)

The KCA Culture and Entertainment Awards recognize outstanding works and individuals in film, drama, and entertainment, selecting those who have garnered significant attention and love from cultural consumers throughout the year.

Mun Ka-young earned the honor of being named Actor of the Year through her role in the tvN drama 'Law and The City.' Taking on her first professional lawyer role, she skillfully portrayed the character's inner workings and subtle emotional nuances. The drama captivated audiences not only in Korea but also globally, contributing to its widespread acclaim.

In addition to her role in 'Law and The City,' Moon has expanded her acting spectrum by actively participating in various fields, including the drama 'My Dearest Nemesis' and as an MC for the band survival show 'Steal Heart Club.' Her upcoming film 'Once We Were Us' set to release on the 31st, further showcases her robust presence across both television and film.

Upon receiving the award, Mun Ka-young expressed her gratitude, saying, “Thanks to the affection and efforts of many, the drama 'Law and The City' was able to come to life and conclude successfully. I am truly grateful for the immense love from the public. Although I am constantly on the move, I am thankful that it doesn't feel overwhelming. I will continue to work hard and do my best.”
