Comedian Cho Sae-ho Exits '2 Days & 1 Night' Amid Controversy

Comedian Cho Sae-ho has announced his departure from the popular variety show '2 Days & 1 Night,' where he has been a cast member since August last year.

On the 9th, KBS confirmed, "Cho Sae-ho will not be participating in the program from the upcoming recordings, excluding the previously filmed episodes."

They further stated, "Cho Sae-ho expressed his intention to voluntarily leave the show. The production team of '2 Days & 1 Night' respects the decision made after careful consideration by both the cast member and his agency, hoping that no one is hurt in this process."

KBS added, "We humbly accept the concerns of many and will continue to strive to create a program that meets the expectations of our viewers."

Meanwhile, on the 4th, allegations surfaced linking Cho Sae-ho to organized crime. In response, his agency, A2Z Entertainment, firmly denied the claims, stating, "We clearly affirm that these are not true and will take strong legal action against malicious slander, false information dissemination, and rumor spreading under a zero-tolerance policy."

In the official statement from KBS, it was noted that Cho Sae-ho's side decided that continuing with the current schedule amidst ongoing public concern would not benefit the individual programs, the cast member himself, or the concerned public. Therefore, he expressed his intention to voluntarily leave the program.
