K-Pop Icon Kan Mi-yeon to Compete in MBN's 'The King of Singers 3'
According to TenAsia, Kan Mi-yeon, who has been in the industry for 29 years, will be showcasing her talents in the new genre of trot music. Earlier this year, she released a trot album featuring the single 'A Movie', which combines the essence of Latin tango with traditional Korean trot.
'The King of Singers 3' is a survival music show where top-tier singers from various genres in South Korea compete for the prestigious title. The cast gathered for their first recording on the 18th, and the show is set to premiere on October 23rd.
The new season promises an exciting lineup, including musical theater star Cha Ji-yeon, first-generation idol Kan Mi-yeon, popera singer Bae Da-hae, and former SM Entertainment legend Stephanie.
Producers of 'The King of Singers 3' have emphasized that this season will feature breathtaking performances as top-tier female singers vie for the coveted title.
In personal news, Kan Mi-yeon married singer Hwang Ba-ul on November 9, 2019. Recently, she reunited with Baby V.O.X for a full-group comeback after 14 years.
