Actor Kim Young-dae Addresses Kim Yoo-jung's Dating Rumors
'Dear X' is a suspenseful melodrama that tells the story of Baek Ah-jin (played by Kim Yoo-jung), a woman who wears a mask to escape hell and rise to the top, and the Xs who were cruelly trampled by her. It portrays the downfall of South Korea's top actress Baek Ah-jin, who hides her cruel nature behind a beautiful face, and the love of Yoon Joon-seo (played by Kim Young-dae), who chooses hell to protect her.
On this day, Kim Young-dae addressed the dating rumors between Kim Yoo-jung and Kim Do-hoon that became a hot topic last September. Previously, sightings of Kim Yoo-jung and Kim Do-hoon at a Vietnamese airport in May were reported, and both shared photos from their Nha Trang trip on social media, sparking dating speculations, which were eventually dismissed as a misunderstanding.
Recalling the situation, Kim Young-dae candidly said, "I'm glad it wasn't me. I had no idea." He continued, "Kim Yoo-jung and Kim Do-hoon were very close, and the three of us often hung out even before filming. I really wanted to travel abroad too, but I couldn't because I was about to enlist in the military."
He added, "I asked them to send lots of photos, so I kept seeing them in our group chat. It seemed like Do-hoon was being very gentlemanly, helping with luggage, which could easily be misunderstood. We all laughed a lot about it at the time."
