IVE's LeeSeo Bids Farewell to 'SBS Inkigayo' After 1 Year and 7 Months
Since joining as an MC in April last year, LeeSeo has captivated viewers with her bright and energetic hosting, becoming a beloved figure on Sunday afternoons. Her consistent growth and stable hosting skills have added vitality to the program, establishing her as the face of 'Inkigayo'.
After winning the hearts of viewers with her vibrant energy, LeeSeo will step down from her MC position at the end of this year due to her busy schedule. She will bid farewell in this week's broadcast, concluding her 1 year and 7 months of MC activities.
Choi Jang-won, the PD of 'Inkigayo', expressed, "The entire production team is saddened by the departure of LeeSeo, whom 'Inkigayo' holds dear. Thanks to her ever-bright and energetic presence, the staff gained great strength during live broadcasts. We want to express our gratitude to Lee Seo for her immense affection and dedication to 'Inkigayo' and the production team." He added, "It was an honor to share the sparkling end of LeeSeo's teenage years with 'Inkigayo', and we wish her all the best in her future endeavors. We hope to work together again in another wonderful setting."
Ahead of her final broadcast, LeeSeo shared, "It was truly an honor to spend every Sunday for 1 year and 7 months with DIVE (official fan club name) and 'Inkigayo' viewers. Every Sunday felt like a gift to me. Despite my inexperience at first, thanks to the constant support and love from the viewers, I can happily conclude my time as MC."
She continued, "I truly love DIVE for always supporting MC LeeSeo, and I want to thank the production team, agency staff, and fellow MCs for their hard work. While this is a temporary goodbye to MC LeeSeo, I will return as IVE's LeeSeo with even more amazing performances and activities, so please continue to support me."
LeeSeo's final farewell as MC can be seen on SBS 'Inkigayo' airing on the 7th at 3:20 PM.
