Kang Tae-oh and Kim Se-jeong have successfully escaped the trap set by Jin Goo's character in the drama.

In the 7th episode of MBC's Friday-Saturday drama 'Moon River' (directed by Lee Dong-hyun, written by Jo Seung-hee, planned by Kwon Sung-chang), which aired on the 28th, the souls of Lee Kang (played by Kang Tae-oh) and Park Dal-i (played by Kim Se-jeong) finally returned to their rightful bodies. This episode recorded a viewership rating of 5.3% in the metropolitan area and 5.5% nationwide, with a peak of 6% during a scene where Lee Kang warns Park Dal-i not to cross the line, according to Nielsen Korea.

Lee Kang, whose soul had been enduring hardships in Park Dal-i's body, was convinced that Kim Han-cheol (played by Jin Goo) would inevitably harm Park Dal-i. While their bodies were swapped, Lee Kang could protect Park Dal-i, but once they returned to their original bodies, Park Dal-i would be in constant danger. To protect her from Kim Han-cheol, Lee Kang distanced himself from Park Dal-i with harsh words he didn't mean.

Despite this, Park Dal-i stayed by Lee Kang's side, trying to share the sadness he felt. Knowing that Park Dal-i was in danger because of him, Lee Kang regretted and blamed himself for causing unnecessary pain. Park Dal-i comforted him, saying, "Even if the whole world throws stones at you, I'm the one getting hit right now."

As Lee Kang and Park Dal-i continued their precarious game of hide and seek to protect each other, Lee Kang's revenge was also progressing. He discovered that the key evidence related to the Gyesa Year incident, a mythical bird called Jimjo, was in Kim Han-cheol's house. With decisive evidence identifying the caretaker of Jimjo, Lee Kang's revenge plan was steadily advancing.

However, Kim Han-cheol was not going to let Lee Kang and Park Dal-i uncover his secrets. He had his confidant, the Royal Concubine, find a letter written by Lee Kang in Park Dal-i's quarters and used it to falsely accuse Park Dal-i and Lee Woon of having an affair. The Grand Queen Dowager (played by Nam Gi-ae), who had also placed Park Dal-i in Lee Kang's quarters, threatened to kill Park Dal-i, heightening the tension.

In response, Park Dal-i set out to find evidence to clear her name and save both her body and Lee Kang's soul. As she read through the letters Lee Kang had written, she began to suspect that she might be the subject of his love letters. Ultimately, she declared to the Grand Queen Dowager, "I will take Dal-i as a concubine."

Meanwhile, Lee Kang, in Park Dal-i's body, was enduring harsh punishment under the orders of the Royal Concubine. Upon hearing the news, Park Dal-i, in the Crown Prince's body, shielded her own battered body and Lee Kang's soul, taking the lashes instead. In the pouring rain, their blood mixed, and once again, a red glow appeared, returning their souls to their original bodies.

Park Dal-i fainted from the severe torture, and Lee Kang held her in his arms. He then threatened the Royal Concubine, who had inflicted such harm on Park Dal-i, saying, "I will kill you all," raising the tension. Viewers are left wondering what choices Crown Prince Lee Kang will make for Park Dal-i now that he has returned to his own body.

The touching romance of Kang Tae-oh and Kim Se-jeong, as they protect each other against Jin Goo's attacks, continues in the 8th episode of MBC's Friday-Saturday drama 'Moon River,' airing on the 29th at 9:40 PM.
