Actress Kim Min-ha Reveals Her Perfectionist Tendencies and Dream of Becoming an English Professor

Actress Kim Min-ha recently opened up about her perfectionist tendencies and shared that if she hadn't pursued acting, she would have dreamed of becoming an English professor, thanks to her fluent English skills.

In a video titled 'Waiting for the Warm Soup That Never Comes with Kim Min-ha,' released on the YouTube channel 'Ppadeonus,' run by a comedy YouTuber crew known for their sketch comedy videos, Kim Min-ha shared her thoughts on making mistakes.

During the video, Moon Sang-hoon mentioned that he brushes off his mistakes by saying, "That's just like me," and doesn't let them affect him much. Kim Min-ha expressed her admiration for this attitude, admitting, "I'm really tolerant of others' mistakes, but I can't stand my own." She added, "I don't want to show my flawed side. It's not that I'm a perfectionist, but I just want to do well and not cause trouble, so I tend to be tense during shoots."

When asked by Moon Sang-hoon what other profession she would choose, Kim Min-ha revealed a past that might explain her fluent English skills. She said, "I was originally preparing to become an English professor." She also mentioned her experience doing translation work during college, saying, "I really enjoyed it and thought a few times that I could do it well with responsibility and a sense of mission." Additionally, she humorously shared her love for ice cream, saying, "I also have a whimsical dream of selling ice cream while traveling around," which brought laughter.

Meanwhile, Kim Min-ha is currently captivating viewers as Oh Mi-seon in the tvN drama 'Typhoon Company.' The drama, set during the 1997 IMF crisis, follows the growth journey of Kang Tae-poong, a novice businessman who becomes the president of a trading company.
