Kim You-jung Faces Unexpected Crisis in TVING's 'Dear X'
In episodes 7 and 8, released on Thursday, November 20, the relationship between Baek Ah-jin (played by Kim You-jung) and Heo In-gang (played by Hwang In-yeop) evolves into a romantic one. However, the dynamics and emotions surrounding them become increasingly turbulent. Heo In-gang discovers that Baek Ah-jin's intentions were not genuine, leading to a tragic end.
Baek Ah-jin and Heo In-gang publicly acknowledge their relationship. Despite concerns from CEO Seo Mi-ri (played by Kim Ji-young), Baek Ah-jin meets with Im Hee-guk (played by Ryu Kyung-hwan), a cousin of Lena (played by Lee Yul-eum) and an entertainment journalist, to make a secret deal. She promises exclusive stories about her relationship with Heo In-gang, ensuring the narrative benefits her. Her enigmatic smile hints at a larger plan.
For about a year, the couple enjoys a public romance, sometimes glamorous, sometimes ordinary. Observers Yoon Jun-seo (played by Kim Young-dae) and Kim Jae-oh (played by Kim Do-hoon) find their feelings increasingly complicated. Kim Jae-oh is relieved by the lack of contact but can't hide his bitterness, while Yoon Jun-seo grows anxious as Baek Ah-jin doesn't return after the promised year.
Was it an accident or an incident? Only Baek Ah-jin knows the truth. Yoon Jun-seo suspects her of an impulsive act, while Kim Jae-oh disapproves of his suspicion. Heo In-gang, dreaming of marriage with Baek Ah-jin, is devastated by the loss of a loved one. Amidst rumors of their marriage, Baek Ah-jin reveals her true self and coldly ends the relationship.
Amidst the turmoil, Yoon Jun-seo confronts Baek Ah-jin for the truth. She retorts, "Blaming me is ultimately blaming your past self," expressing her anger and resentment. Yoon Jun-seo, feeling like he's opening Pandora's box, watches a video on a USB containing the truth about the Hong Kyung-sook incident, realizing his doubts have hurt Baek Ah-jin again.
The intense storyline takes a turn as Choi Jung-ho (played by Kim Ji-hoon) and Shim Sung-hee (played by Kim Yi-kyung) reappear, drawing attention. Choi Jung-ho, linked to Hong Kyung-sook, raises Baek Ah-jin's suspicions but advises her to remember that someone, somewhere, genuinely cares for and supports her, calling it his best revenge.
Shim Sung-hee, after failing to expose Baek Ah-jin's past, visits her home, hinting at another scheme. The tension escalates with mysterious men following Kim Jae-oh and the introduction of a new character, Moon Do-hyuk (played by Hong Jong-hyun).
Episodes 9 and 10 of TVING's 'Dear X' will be released on Thursday, November 27, at 6 PM.
