K-pop singer Lee Ji-hye has candidly shared her reasons for deciding to undergo philtrum reduction surgery.

On the 20th, Lee Ji-hye's YouTube channel 'Not So Annoying Attention Seeker' featured a video titled 'I Have Something to Say...'.

In the video, Lee Ji-hye revealed that she had urgently invited her YouTube production team to her home. She explained, 'We recorded yesterday, and while my face looks prettier, my pronunciation is slurred. As a host, clear pronunciation is crucial, and I realized this wasn't right,' apologizing to the production team of the show she appeared on.

Lee Ji-hye expressed her regret, saying, 'I apologize for any discomfort caused by my slurred speech,' and mentioned her recent thread lifting procedure. She continued, 'There were comments about 'philtrum reduction' on the thread lifting video. I've always been self-conscious about my philtrum and wanted to reduce it, but I lacked the courage. Gaining confidence from the thread lifting, I wanted to enhance my appearance further.'

Regarding her decision to undergo 'philtrum reduction,' Lee Ji-hye stated, 'Even if I had just a month or two, I could say, 'Oh, I lost weight,' but my job doesn't allow for such long breaks, and I dislike lying or causing inconvenience to others.'

She also shared her thoughts on cosmetic surgery, saying, 'I realized something significant this time. My mom keeps appearing with bandages, and her face keeps changing. My daughters are still young, so they don't notice yet, but it made me think deeply.'

Meanwhile, Lee Ji-hye married tax accountant Moon Jae-wan in 2017, and they have two daughters together.
