K-Pop Star Annie Shares Her School Uniform Dream and Ivy League Journey on 'Knowing Bros'

Annie from the co-ed group ALLDAY PROJECT expressed her long-held dream of wearing a school uniform on the latest episode of JTBC's 'Knowing Bros' aired on the 15th.

The episode featured Annie alongside her group members Tarzan, Bailey, Woochan, and Youngseo. Annie shared, "I've always wanted to meet Hodong and Janghoon. I once saw Seo Janghoon on the streets of Nonhyeon-dong when I was in middle school." Seo Janghoon humorously responded, "That must have been near my parents' house."

Having spent her school years in the U.S. since third grade, Annie revealed, "Today is my first time wearing a school uniform. I've always dreamed of it. I wanted to eat tteokbokki on my way home from school in a uniform."

Annie, whose real name is Moon Seoyoon, explained her stage name, saying, "I attended an English kindergarten where Director William gave me the name Annie. Initially, only my American and English-speaking friends called me Annie, but now even my parents do. My mom even calls herself 'Annie's Mom' (A.M)," she shared with a laugh.

Currently on a leave of absence from Columbia University, an Ivy League school, Annie said, "My parents told me to go to an Ivy League if I wanted to pursue a career in music. So I did. They didn't think I could get in," she recounted.

When asked how good one has to be to get into an Ivy League, Annie modestly replied, "People think I'm a good student, but I have a knack for short-term memorization, which helps me cram for exams."

Asked if she ever made mistakes in lyrics or choreography, Annie confidently said, "Not yet." Tarzan humorously added, "It's still short-term since she just debuted," causing laughter.

Annie is the granddaughter of Shinsegae Group's honorary chairman Lee Myung-hee and the eldest daughter of Shinsegae Group's president Chung Yoo-kyung. She is majoring in Art History and Visual Arts at Columbia University and reportedly scored 1,530 out of 1,600 on the SAT.
