Jang Seung-jo's Riveting Dual Role in Netflix's 'You Killed Me'
Released on the 7th, Netflix's 'You Killed Me' follows the story of two women who, faced with a life-or-death situation, decide to commit murder, only to find themselves entangled in unexpected events. Jang Seung-jo takes on the challenging roles of Noh Jin-pyo, a husband who is socially respected but controlling towards his wife, and Jang Kang, a character with the same face but a completely different demeanor.
Noh Jin-pyo (played by Jang Seung-jo) is a character who hides his obsessive and violent tendencies behind a polished exterior. He constantly thwarts his wife's attempts to escape, suffocating her with baseless violence. He even goes as far as placing a home camera in the living room to monitor her 24/7, controlling her every move.
Jang Seung-jo boldly contrasts Noh Jin-pyo and Jang Kang. His portrayal of Noh Jin-pyo synchronizes the fear and disdain felt by his wife with the audience, making Jang Kang's appearance feel like a glimmer of hope, compelling viewers to watch until the end. As the series progresses, Jang Seung-jo's evolving performance crafts a new face of limitless evil.
Following his impressive showcase in 'You Killed Me,' Jang Seung-jo is set to star in SBS's new drama 'Brave New World.' The series features a 'hate relationship' romance between the notorious Joseon villainess 'Shin Se-ri' (played by Lim Ji-yeon) and the ruthless Korean chaebol 'Cha Se-gye' (played by Heo Nam-joon). Jang Seung-jo will portray 'Choi Moon-do,' the ambitious president of Chail Construction, a key subsidiary of the Chail Group. Anticipation builds for Jang Seung-jo's next project, where he will once again showcase his exceptional talent.
