DinDin Opens Up About the Challenges of Being a 'Conscientious Celebrity' on '2 Days & 1 Night'

DinDin, a cast member of the popular South Korean variety show '2 Days & 1 Night', recently shared his thoughts on being labeled as a 'conscientious celebrity'.

On the episode aired on the 9th, the six members of '2 Days & 1 Night Season 4' embarked on a journey to Danyang and Jecheon in Chungcheongbuk-do, South Korea, for the first part of their 'This Autumn' series.

During the episode, DinDin opened up about the pressures he faces after being dubbed a conscientious celebrity following a statement he made on YouTube. When he expressed his desire to promote the 'Black Hand Core', fellow member Kim Jong-min teased him, saying, "You're really managing your image."

DinDin shared, "I feel like I'm going crazy. I recently returned from the U.S. and was extremely tired. A producer I work with said, 'It must be tough for you, coming back from the U.S. and having to film right away. Being a celebrity must be hard.' I sensed it was a curveball and replied, 'It's not just celebrities who have it tough. Everyone does.'"

The producer praised him, saying, "You're truly a conscientious celebrity." DinDin admitted, "It was indeed a curveball. I feel suffocated." Fellow member Yoo Seon-ho commented, "DinDin hyung looks brighter because he's loved," to which DinDin responded, "It's been a while since I've felt loved."

When the members speculated about going hiking in Danyang, DinDin questioned, "Wouldn't viewers who want to watch hiking just watch a hiking channel?" Moon Se-yoon replied, "People who want to see everything watch '2 Days & 1 Night'." Realizing the situation, DinDin humorously conceded, "If we have to hike, then we have to."

The members noted, "It's been two weeks since DinDin's popularity surged. His irritation is rising, but he still has a conscience." DinDin, aware of the atmosphere, took care of the new staff, causing laughter.

In another instance, when Moon Se-yoon asked the production team for water, DinDin fetched it for him. When DinDin drank from the same bottle Moon Se-yoon was drinking from, the members joked, "He's such a conscientious celebrity that he doesn't need a new one," causing everyone to burst into laughter.

DinDin also showed kindness by switching seats with Moon Se-yoon, who was suffering from the sunlight. Moon Se-yoon, feigning fainting from the gesture, showcased their close friendship.
