Kim Bo-eun, often referred to as the 'IU of Dump Trucks,' candidly shared her experiences as a trucker.

On the October 5th episode of tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block,' episode 317, Kim Bo-eun, a driver of large dump trucks, appeared to discuss her journey through various careers before becoming a truck driver.

During the broadcast, Kim Bo-eun revealed her initial dream of earning ten million won a month by driving dump trucks, but she faced the harsh realities and challenges of construction sites.

Before driving dump trucks, Kim Bo-eun had a diverse career path, including roles as a social worker, a merchant at Dongdaemun wholesale market, and a CEO of a shopping mall. She shared, "Being a social worker warmed my heart, but reality was harsh. I wondered, 'When will I ever afford an apartment?' A friend mentioned I could earn ten million won a month, which led me to try dump truck driving."

However, the reality was not easy. "On the first day, my heart felt like it would explode, and I ended up vomiting from the stress," she recounted, sharing a humorous yet challenging story of mistakenly parking in front of an excavator, causing a 30-truck delay. Eventually, she purchased a used truck for 100 million won and fully embarked on her trucking career.

Kim Bo-eun now owns three used trucks, each worth around 100 million won, but she admitted, "They all belong to the bank. I tried hiring drivers and paying them salaries as a form of investment, but it seems like a failure. The economy is tough, and repair costs are high." She continued, "Fuel costs range from 4 to 6 million won a month, and repair costs exceed 10 million won. It feels like a failure."

Despite the challenges, she remains optimistic, stating, "I've earned ten million won in a month before... but given the circumstances, I need to earn more. It's an opportunity to try something new. I think I adapt well to the changing times."
