MBC's 'Hangout with Yoo' Canceled on November 1 for Special News Broadcast
MBC's popular variety show 'Hangout with Yoo' will not air on November 1.

According to a report by TenAsia on October 30, the episode of 'Hangout with Yoo' originally scheduled for November 1 at 6:30 PM has been canceled. Instead, MBC will broadcast a special news segment.

The special news coverage will focus on President Lee Jae-myung's participation in the second session of the APEC Summit, where discussions will revolve around AI development, demographic changes, and new economic growth drivers in the Asia-Pacific region.

'Hangout with Yoo' has not been filmed for two consecutive weeks. Although filming usually takes place every Thursday, there were no shoots on October 23 and 30. However, filming is expected to resume next week.

Some speculated that the cancellation was due to cast member Lee Yi-kyung's involvement in a recent scandal. However, the accuser has since apologized, and Lee Yi-kyung has been cleared of the allegations. MBC representatives clarified that the two-week filming hiatus was due to the special news broadcast, not the rumors surrounding Lee Yi-kyung.

Meanwhile, Lee Yi-kyung's agency, Sangyoung ENT, announced via their official social media accounts that they are preparing legal action against the spread of false information and malicious rumors. They stated, "We are assessing the direct and indirect damages and will take all necessary measures based on the severity of the situation."
