Lee Jung-jae Opens Up About His Ongoing Anxieties Despite Triple Career Peaks
On the September 29th episode of tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block,' Lee Jung-jae, who has risen to global stardom with projects like 'Squid Game' and 'Star Wars,' shared his journey.
During the show, Lee revealed an intriguing story about being invited to a large-scale entertainment forum in Saudi Arabia following the success of 'Squid Game.' He remarked, "It was the biggest forum I've ever attended. I encouraged them to invest in Korea."
Now in his 33rd year since debuting, Lee Jung-jae has experienced three major career highs with 'Sandglass,' 'The Face Reader,' and 'Squid Game.' Yet, he confessed to still feeling anxious. When host Yoo Jae-suk commented on his calm demeanor despite his popularity, Lee humorously admitted, "I'm cautious because I've faced potential downfalls a few times."
He humbly stated, "There's always a limit to my abilities, and of course, there are people who surpass that. But it's probably impossible for me to surpass it every time. Accepting that brings peace of mind."
Meanwhile, Lee Jung-jae is set to star in the upcoming tvN drama 'Annoying Love,' premiering on November 3rd. The drama revolves around a national actor who has lost his initial passion and an entertainment journalist obsessed with justice, promising a battle of wits, truth bombs, and breaking stereotypes.
