Tense Cliffhanger in 'Good Woman Busemi': Jeon Yeo-bin Faces Deadly Hitman Attack

Jeon Yeo-bin's character faces a life-threatening crisis as she is attacked by a hitman in the latest episode of 'Good Woman Busemi.'

In the episode released on Tuesday, the 21st, viewers were left in shock as Kim Young-ran (played by Jeon Yeo-bin) was brutally attacked by Gil Ho-se (played by Yang Kyung-won), who was acting on orders from Ga Sun-young (played by Jang Yoon-ju). The episode ended with a bloody cliffhanger, drawing a nationwide viewership rating of 5.6% and 5.3% in the metropolitan area, according to Nielsen Korea. 'Good Woman Busemi' has been praised for its solid storyline, high-quality production, and strong performances, previously hitting a series high of 5.9% in episode 5. However, ratings have slightly declined to 5.8% in episode 6 and 5.6% in episode 7.

Kim Young-ran becomes suspicious when new workers, including the new shuttle bus driver Gil Ho-se, arrive in the village. Her suspicions grow when someone begins to destroy the CCTV cameras she installed. The once peaceful village of Muchang is now overshadowed by a sense of impending danger as an unknown assailant openly attacks Kim Young-ran.

Jeon Dong-min (played by Jin-young) steps up as an ally, gathering information to find the culprit targeting Kim Young-ran and requesting increased patrols in the village. Despite the tense situation, Jeon Dong-min reassures Kim Young-ran that he will always be there for her, bringing a moment of warmth and a smile to her face.

As the village is stirred by the arrival of outsiders, Lee Don (played by Seo Hyun-woo) is on a mission to find the missing Ga Sun-woo (played by Lee Chang-min). Ga Sun-woo holds evidence that could prove Ga Sun-young's involvement in the death of Ga Ye-rim (played by Lee Da-eun), the daughter of Chairman Ga Sung-ho (played by Moon Sung-geun). If Ga Sun-woo's claims are true, it could be a game-changer in removing Ga Sun-young. Lee Don intensifies his search to obtain this crucial evidence.

Upon discovering that the shuttle bus driver is actually an ex-convict named Gil Tae-im, Lee Don immediately reports this to Kim Young-ran. Already suspicious of Gil Ho-se, Kim Young-ran sets a trap to catch the person who destroyed the CCTV and attacked her.

As Kim Young-ran suspected, Gil Ho-se, the hitman sent by Ga Sun-young, enters her home armed with a gas canister and a weapon. Despite her fierce resistance, Kim Young-ran is overpowered by Gil Ho-se's violent actions and is left tied up, helplessly watching as he prepares to set her house on fire.

To make matters worse, Gil Ho-se also brutally attacks Baek Hye-ji (played by Joo Hyun-young), who comes to Kim Young-ran's aid, leaving viewers in shock. As Kim Young-ran panics at the sight of her bloodied friend, Gil Ho-se points a gun at her head, his menacing expression heightening the tension. The episode concludes with a loud gunshot, leaving audiences on edge about whether Kim Young-ran will survive this unprecedented crisis in her life reset project.
