Lyn Makes Her Debut as Music Show Host Amidst Changes in 'Korean-Japanese Top Ten Show'

The MBN Korean-Japanese music chart show 'Korean-Japanese Top Ten Show' aired on the 21st, achieving a peak viewership rating of 4.1% and a nationwide rating of 3.6%.
On this episode, Lyn debuted as a music show MC after 25 years in the industry. Previously, the show was hosted by Kangnam and Daesung from May last year until August. After a brief hiatus for reorganization, the show returned with Lyn replacing Daesung as the new MC.



Park Seo-jin and Min Soo-hyun, along with Yudai and Raon, were the first to take the stage for the 'King of Singers' battle. Park Seo-jin and Min Soo-hyun highlighted their '25-year chemistry,' while Yudai boasted about a video with YouTube music creator Raon that garnered 8.7 million views. Yudai and Raon performed a refreshing duet song, 'Love or Romance,' while Park Seo-jin and Min Soo-hyun delivered a traditional trot performance with 'Sseurirang,' igniting the audience's excitement. Ultimately, Park Seo-jin and Min Soo-hyun emerged victorious.



The 'True Love Battle' saw Shin Seung-tae and Yoon Mi-ra compete against Byeol Sarang and Kim Wan. Byeol Sarang and her husband Kim Wan performed 'Love Is No Joke' with a wedding reception vibe, while Shin Seung-tae and Yoon Mi-ra delivered a charming performance of 'Love's Name Tag,' with Yoon Mi-ra's graceful movements complementing Shin Seung-tae's soulful singing. Shin Seung-tae and Yoon Mi-ra won the round.
In the 'Heartthrob Battle,' Enoch, Shin Seung-tae, and Seongri competed in a three-way charm showdown. Enoch, who failed to impress Yoon Mi-ra with a crumpled rose, showcased his masculine charm with 'Can't Leave You.' Shin Seung-tae, who brought laughter with his exaggerated waves, captivated everyone with the deep emotions of 'Fateful Encounter.' Seongri proved his 'Heartthrob Sniper' nickname with a fiery stage presence in 'I Like You.' Shin Seung-tae emerged as the winner among the three.




Kim Tae-woong and Saki faced off against Seongri and Juni in the 'Global Debut Dream Battle,' with a chance for an official duet debut at stake. Kim Tae-woong and Saki charmed with 'Bongseonhwa Love,' capturing the hearts of uncles and aunts with their adorable performance. Seongri and Juni impressed with sharp choreography and a masculine performance, defeating Kim Tae-woong and Saki.
Enoch and Shin Young-sook, along with Kim Junsu and Min Eun-kyung, delivered a remarkable 'Genre Battle.' Musical theater star Shin Young-sook, who revealed she was a newlywed of just 10 days, received applause for her confession. Kim Junsu raised expectations by revealing Min Eun-kyung as a principal member of the National Changgeuk Company. Enoch and Shin Young-sook delivered a musical-like performance of 'Father' with rich vocals and harmonies. Kim Junsu and Min Eun-kyung performed 'Love Never Fades,' impressing with explosive vocals and earning a standing ovation, ultimately winning the battle.




Masaya, Park Seo-jin, and Takuya competed in the Korean-Japanese representative autumn men battle. Masaya captivated with his gestures and soulful singing in 'Stranger,' while Park Seo-jin delivered a moist autumn rain-like performance with 'You and the Rain.' Takuya's pure voice in 'Heroine' brought a refreshing purity to the stage. Masaya received the most votes among the three.
Finally, Yoon Mi-ra made her solo stage debut after 53 years, and Shin Young-sook took on her first trot song challenge. Yoon Mi-ra delivered a dramatic performance of 'Lost Love' with her veteran actress emotional immersion, while Shin Young-sook showcased her heartfelt singing in 'Do You Know My Name,' leaving a deep impression and winning the battle.
