Lee Joo-an Shares Behind-the-Scenes Audition Story for 'The Tyrant's Chef'
During the show, Lee Joo-an addressed comments about his resemblance to actor Go Soo, saying, "I used to think so when I was younger, but after meeting senior Go Soo, I humbly say I don't resemble him anymore."
However, in the studio, participants praised his looks, saying, "Why are you so pretty?" and "You're the prettiest here." They also compared his tied-up hair look to that of actor Joe Odagiri.
Kim Seok-hoon, who gained fame from the 1998 drama 'Hong Gil-dong,' also appeared as a guest. He shared, "I was overwhelmed by the attention and popularity when I took on leading roles without any supporting roles." Lee Joo-an mentioned, "I played Hong Gil-dong disguised as Gong-gil in the drama, and I referred to senior Kim Seok-hoon's acting," showcasing a warm senior-junior relationship.
Ready for anything, Lee Joo-an expressed his determination by saying, "I'll even tan if needed," and during the two-and-a-half-hour second audition, he impressed with a five-minute emotional outburst scene, securing the role. Reflecting on the moment, he shared, "When I received the acceptance call, I cried in the shower for five minutes, overwhelmed with emotion."
