Kim Woo-bin Shares Life Philosophy Amidst 'Genie, Make A Wish' Success

On the 13th, an interview with Kim Woo-bin, who plays the role of Genie in Netflix's 'Genie, Make A Wish,' was conducted at a café in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul. 'Genie, Make A Wish' is a fantasy romantic comedy about Genie (played by Kim Woo-bin), a career-disrupted lamp spirit awakened after a thousand years, who meets Ka-young (played by Suzy), a human lacking emotions, and the three wishes that unfold between them. During the interview, Kim Woo-bin showcased his timeless visuals, wearing a navy jacket reminiscent of his character Choi Young-do from the past drama 'The Heirs.'
Throughout the interview, Kim Woo-bin expressed his affection for the character Genie and his satisfaction with writer Kim Eun-sook's sense of humor. Just before the interview concluded, he shared his personal philosophy. Having been declared cancer-free after battling nasopharyngeal cancer for two years starting in 2017, he began by saying, "Since taking a break, I no longer set grand goals."
He continued, "I strive to live each day to the fullest and with sincerity. My only goals are to live well with my loved ones and to be healthy," adding, "Back then, I always had too many goals. I used to live today for tomorrow, but now I live today for today."
Meanwhile, 'Genie, Make A Wish' has quickly gained popularity, reaching the top spot on Netflix Korea's TOP 10 within a day of its release.
