Lee Hyun-wook Wins Excellence in Acting at 2025 Korea Drama Awards

On October 11, at the Korea Drama Awards (KDA) held at the Gyeongnam Culture and Arts Center, Lee Hyun-wook received the award for his performances in the tvN X TVING original drama 'Wonkyeong' (directed by Kim Sang-ho, written by Lee Young-mi, produced by Studio Dragon & JS Pictures) and the TVING original series 'Shark: The Storm' (written by Min Ji, directed by Kim Geon, produced by SLL & To You Dream, provided by TVING).
During his acceptance speech, Lee Hyun-wook expressed his gratitude, saying, "First, I would like to thank everyone for inviting me to this meaningful event. I am truly honored to be able to express my gratitude once again for being able to stand here through 'Shark: The Storm' and 'Wonkyeong'."
He continued, "I want to thank all the fellow actors, staff, directors, and writers who worked on these projects with me. I also want to express my gratitude to my family, friends, and fans who always support me. I will continue to strive to greet you with great projects in the future."

Additionally, in 'Shark: The Storm', he captivated audiences with his chilling portrayal of Hyun Woo-yong, a villain who derives pleasure from the suffering of others.
As Lee Hyun-wook continues to showcase his limitless acting transformations across various genres, anticipation builds for his future endeavors.
Meanwhile, Lee Hyun-wook is set to meet global audiences in the upcoming Disney+ series 'Goldland', slated for release in 2026, where he will play Lee Do-kyung, an airline co-pilot and the lover of Hee-joo (played by Park Bo-young), who becomes entangled in an illegal gold smuggling case.
