Jung So-min and Choi Woo-shik Tie the Knot in New Drama 'Marry Me, Universe'

Actress Jung So-min is set to tie the knot with actor Choi Woo-shik in the upcoming drama 'Marry Me, Universe'.

Premiering on the 10th, SBS's new Friday-Saturday drama 'Marry Me, Universe' follows the sweet yet fierce 90-day fake marriage between Kim Woo-joo (played by Choi Woo-shik) and Yoo Merry (played by Jung So-min) as they strive to win a luxurious newlywed home.

On the 1st, the production team of 'Marry Me, Universe' released a written interview with Jung So-min, who plays the role of Yoo Merry, a designer living paycheck to paycheck. She shared her reasons for choosing the project, saying, "I'm a fan of the drama 'Another Miss Oh', so I was curious about working with director Song Hyun-wook." She added, "I was sure filming would be fun when I heard Choi Woo-shik, an actor I've always wanted to work with, would be my co-star."

Jung So-min put in extraordinary effort to portray the unique charm of Yoo Merry. She stated, "I wanted to show a new look different from my previous styling. I aimed to become Yoo Merry both externally and internally." She explained, "I imagined Yoo Merry's time not depicted in the script and even wrote a diary. To master her vibrant dialect, I lived in Merry's hometown."

Jung So-min also spoke about the charms of her co-stars, Choi Woo-shik, her fake husband, and Seo Beom-jun, her ex-fiancé. She said, "From the first shoot, my chemistry with Choi Woo-shik exceeded expectations. He is like a cute and lovely puppy. His humorous and lively nature makes it impossible not to laugh when you're with him."

Additionally, Jung So-min commented, "Seo Beom-jun is gentle, kind, and mature. He has a sister, and I have a younger brother, so we quickly became close. But I don't think my brother is as nice as Seo Beom-jun," she added with a laugh. She concluded, "I hope 'Marry Me, Universe' can be a place of respite for everyone, even if just for a moment, in their tiring daily lives."

'Marry Me, Universe' premieres on the 10th at 9:50 PM.
