Lim Yoon-a Discusses the Finale of 'Bon Appétit, Your Majesty' and Its Record-Breaking Ratings

In a recent interview at a hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul, Lim Yoon-a, who stars in tvN's 'Bon Appétit, Your Majesty,' discussed the show's finale.
'Bon Appétit, Your Majesty' is a new weekend drama on tvN, featuring a time-traveling chef who meets a tyrannical king with an impeccable palate, leading to a survival fantasy romantic comedy. Lim Yoon-a plays the role of 'Yeon Ji-young,' a French chef who encounters the king.
The final episode, which aired on the 28th, achieved record-breaking ratings with an average of 17.4% and a peak of 20% in the Seoul metropolitan area, and an average of 17.1% and a peak of 19.4% nationwide, securing the top spot across all channels, including terrestrial networks, during its time slot.

She added, "With such good results every episode, I'm surprised every day and every week. I didn't have specific expectations for the ratings as it's beyond my control, but I never anticipated such a huge response and success." Lim Yoon-a also expressed her hopes for a reward vacation, saying, "The cast often talks about it. I hope it happens, but we'll have to wait and see."
In the finale, Yeon Ji-young wakes up in a modern hospital after an injury and returns to her career as a chef, revamping the menu using the recipes from 'Mang Un-rok.' She reunites with her fellow chefs and meets Lee Heon, who has also traveled to the present, culminating in a romantic embrace and kiss.

Regarding the ending, Lim Yoon-a commented, "I'm satisfied. I think it's the ending everyone dreamed of. It's a beautiful conclusion," she said with a smile. When asked about the possibility of a second season, she replied, "I haven't heard anything about a Season 2 yet. We'll see if discussions arise, but if the story continues and all the actors can reunite, I'd love to do it."
