Kim Go-eun Opens Up About Emotional Moment at 'Eun-jung and Sang-yeon' Press Conference

Actress Kim Go-eun explained the reason behind her tears at the 'Eun-jung and Sang-yeon' press conference, saying, "I was reminded of the thought, 'Will Sang-yeon's death remain as too great a pain?'"

On the 22nd, Kim Go-eun, who stars in the Netflix series 'Eun-jung and Sang-yeon,' was interviewed at a café in Samcheong-dong, Seoul. The series portrays the lives of Eun-jung and Sang-yeon (played by Park Ji-hyun), who are best friends and rivals. Kim Go-eun plays the role of Ryu Eun-jung.

Kim Go-eun unexpectedly shed tears at the 'Eun-jung and Sang-yeon' press conference held on the 5th. She explained, "In the series, Eun-jung accompanies Sang-yeon to Switzerland for assisted death. The promises made, and the time spent reflecting on life with Sang-yeon came to mind, bringing tears to my eyes." She added, "I was worried that Sang-yeon's death would leave too great a pain for Eun-jung, which is why I cried so much."

When asked about her chemistry with Park Ji-hyun, Kim Go-eun replied, "We matched very well." She continued, "If I took care of Ji-hyun's mental aspects, she paid a lot of attention to external things. I remember her casually giving me necessary items or taking care of outerwear and snacks. I was very grateful," she said with a smile.

'Eun-jung and Sang-yeon' was released in its entirety, with all 15 episodes, on Netflix on the 12th.
