Actress Lim Soo-hyang Apologizes for Missing Kim Mi-kyung's Mother's Passing

On the October 24th episode of MBC's variety show 'Radio Star', episode 933, Kim Mi-kyung appeared as a guest alongside Jang So-yeon, Lee El, and Lim Soo-hyang.
During the show, Kim Mi-kyung revealed that she has played the role of a mother to over 100 actors. Her first mother role was in the 2004 drama 'Sunshine Pours Down', where she played the mother of actor Ryu Seung-bum.
Kim Mi-kyung mentioned that she has a special fondness for her on-screen daughters, such as Jang Na-ra from 'Go Back Couple' and Kim Tae-hee from 'Hi Bye, Mama!'. She shared, "The deeper and more poignant the story in the drama, the more my heart goes out. They are around my daughter's age, so I find them adorable, like my own daughter. I was touched by how they approached me first despite the age gap."

However, Kim Mi-kyung noted, "I often become closer with actors who approach me more. Some who played my daughters even visit my home." Lim Soo-hyang responded, "I wanted to approach you, but I'm shy," and jokingly added, "I'll come over and sleep at your place." Kim Mi-kyung laughed, saying, "You won't do that."
Kim Mi-kyung then shared, "My mother passed away last year. I didn't send out any funeral notices, but it was reported in the news. It seems like almost all my on-screen daughters came." Upon hearing this, Lim Soo-hyang bowed her head and said, "I really didn't know," expressing her surprise. Kim Mi-kyung reassured her, "Soo-hyang didn't know about the funeral."
