Eugene Returns to TV with 'First Lady' After Four-Year Hiatus

On the 24th, a press conference for the MBN Wednesday-Thursday miniseries 'First Lady' was held at The Link Hotel in Guro-gu, Seoul. The event was attended by actors Ji Hyun-woo, Eugene, Lee Min-young, and director Lee Ho-hyun.
'First Lady' is a drama that depicts an unprecedented event where a husband, who has been elected president, demands a divorce from his wife, who is set to become the First Lady. Eugene plays the role of Cha Soo-yeon, who helps her once-unknown activist husband, Hyun Min-chul, become president and subsequently becomes the First Lady.

Returning to the small screen for the first time in about four years since the end of 'Penthouse 3', Eugene explained her choice of the project by saying, "The story was intriguing. The narrative starting with a divorce demand was interesting." She further added, "The character Cha Soo-yeon was appealing because I hadn't played such a role before. It's also my first drama with a political background. Although I'm not particularly interested in politics, the story was fascinating."
'First Lady' premieres at 10:20 PM tonight.
