Park Tae-hwan Charms with Adorable Side on 'New Release Pyeonstorang'

On the upcoming episode of KBS 2TV's 'New Release Pyeonstorang', airing on the 19th, the show will feature a special 'Mom's Touch' episode in celebration of the upcoming Chuseok holiday. The eternal 'Marine Boy', Park Tae-hwan, spends quality time with his mother.
In the VCR revealed on the show, Park Tae-hwan appears in an unfamiliar kitchen, which is actually his parents' home. He bought this house for them when he was 19, after becoming the world champion in swimming. Park humorously admits, "I plan to eat quickly before mom arrives and pretend I didn't eat," and devours three sets of burgers from a popular spot in Seongsu-dong, earning the nickname 'Bread Tae-hwan'. His impressive eating skills left the 'Pyeonstorang' cast in awe.
When his mother arrives home, Park Tae-hwan greets her with sparkling eyes and affectionate gestures, hugging her tightly, which brings a smile to her face.

The episode also highlights the similarities between Park and his mother. When asked about his athletic prowess, Park's mother confidently states, "He takes after me," emphasizing that his advantageous physique for swimming is also inherited from her. Park jokingly adds, "I think I got my competitive spirit from mom too." His mother, who majored in Korean dance, shares, "When I was in the dance troupe, if I didn't rank first in evaluations, I would practice all night. I always had to be the center."
In response to the production team's question about which of Park's many medals is most memorable to her, Park's mother gives an unexpected answer, piquing everyone's interest. The full story will be revealed on the episode airing on the 19th at 8:30 PM on KBS 2TV's 'New Release Pyeonstorang'.
