Rising Star Zhang Jiahao Shines in 'Boys 2 Planet' with 'Chains' Team Victory

Zhang Jiahao, a 2002-born trainee from Nuwa Entertainment, has secured significant screen time through his recent appearance. Known as a former trainee of SM Entertainment, he previously appeared on KBS2's 'Make Mate One' and received praise on Mnet's 'Boys 2 Planet' alongside Zhou Anxin, despite limited screen time.

In the 9th episode of 'Boys 2 Planet' aired on the 11th, the 24 survivors showcased their semi-final 'Debut Concept Battle' stage after the second survival announcement. The restructured teams delivered performances that maximized their individual charms, garnering enthusiastic responses from viewers and star creators.

The 'Chains' team, consisting of top-ranking trainees from 1st to 19th place, featured Lee Sangwon in 1st place and Zhang Jiahao in 19th. The masters praised the team, suggesting they were nearly debut-ready. Zhang Jiahao, however, expressed a bittersweet sentiment, noting, "I'm the only one not in the top ranks."

Lee Sangwon shared his initial hesitation to take on the killing part, but decided to embrace the challenge, believing there was a reason his supporters placed him in this song. Ultimately chosen by his teammates, he delivered a commanding stage presence.

Meanwhile, Lim Hanbyul expressed delight over Zhang Jiahao, calling him the "masters' favorite pick." Zhang Jiahao, surprised, thanked him, while Lim Hanbyul lamented his declining rank, noting that despite starting at 12th in Planet C, he dropped to 18th and then 19th in subsequent announcements.

Even with the shortest part as a sub-rapper for 8 seconds, Zhang Jiahao captivated viewers with his unique dance style. Lee Sangwon, while maintaining his killing part, expressed regret and shared some of his part with Zhang Jiahao.

The 'Chains' team left a strong impression with their bold performance, appearing bound in chains. Lee Sangwon, Lee Rio, Zhou Anxin, Kim Geonwoo, Jeon Ijeong, and Zhang Jiahao dominated the stage with their dynamic dance lines and captivating vocals, exuding an unprecedented sexy charm. The masters praised Lee Sangwon as "born for the killing part," while Lee Seokhun gave Zhang Jiahao a thumbs up, saying, "No more words are needed."

As a result, the 'Chains' team scored 1110 points, securing 1st place and earning a 150,000-point benefit. Lee Sangwon, as the team's top performer, gained an additional 150,000 points, totaling 300,000 points, making him a strong contender for the finals. The winning team also received special benefits, including an appearance on 'M Countdown' and an offline fan meeting.
