Zerobaseone members Matthew and Sung Han-bin recently opened up about their debut stories.

On comedian Kim Dae-hee's YouTube channel 'Kkondaehee-Bap Mukja,' a video titled 'Zerobaseone: From Zero to One Hundred with Chicken and Waffles' was uploaded.

In the video, Kim Dae-hee asked Matthew and Sung Han-bin about their ages. Using a playful expression, he asked, "What grade and class are you in?" but the two didn't understand. Kim then clarified by asking, "What year were you born?" Matthew replied that he was born in 2002, to which Kim responded, "So how old are you? I can't keep up with ages these days."

Matthew revealed, "I'm 24 years old." Kim then joked, "So, you're in 2nd grade, class 4," which Matthew finally understood. Meanwhile, when asked about his hometown, Sung Han-bin humorously replied, "Cat meow," making Kim burst into laughter. Kim, amused, asked Sung Han-bin, "What grade and class are you in?" Sung Han-bin replied, "I'm in 2nd grade, class 5."

Kim Dae-hee, upon hearing the group's name Zerobaseone, remarked, "It's been two years since your debut, and it's impressive that I know about you." He then asked about the meaning behind the group's name. Sung Han-bin, who is the leader, explained, "It means to never lose our initial mindset and to keep moving forward, symbolizing the journey from zero to one."

Kim then inquired about their debut stories. Matthew shared, "I originally wanted to be a doctor and studied hard, but it wasn't for me. I loved dancing as a hobby and wondered if I could make money from it. That's when K-POP came up in the algorithm." He added that his sister, who also dances, inspired him to audition.

Sung Han-bin revealed, "I dreamed of becoming an elementary school teacher or a psychological therapist. I was considering a career in education, but seeing my younger sister, a national speed climbing athlete, reach the top made me realize I wanted to excel at something I loved, which led me to dance."
