Uhm Jeong-hwa's True Identity Revealed in 'My Troublesome Star'

Uhm Jeong-hwa's true identity has been unveiled.

In the 7th episode of Genie TV's original drama 'My Troublesome Star,' aired on the 8th, it was revealed that Bong Cheong-ja, played by Uhm Jeong-hwa, is actually Im Se-ra. As the world learned this secret, the episode ended with Bong Cheong-ja and Dokgo Cheol, played by Song Seung-heon, smiling as they ran away from the press, hinting at a pivotal turning point for the comeback show.

The unpredictable plot twists, including the appearance of a mysterious disc, kept viewers on the edge of their seats. The episode, broadcast on ENA, garnered a nationwide rating of 3.4% and 3.1% in the metropolitan area, according to Nielsen Korea's paid household ratings.

Dokgo Cheol was secretly worried about Bong Cheong-ja's firm resolve. However, her bright smile and words, "Don't worry. I have a detective by my side. You'll stay with me, right?" swayed his heart. Their sweet collaboration ensured a smooth comeback show.

But the joy was short-lived. A new variable named Go Hee-young, played by Lee El, emerged during Bong Cheong-ja's comeback show. Go Hee-young, uneasy about Bong Cheong-ja's recruitment, found Kang Doo-won's suggestion, "It's more comfortable to keep her close," suspicious. Yet, Bong Cheong-ja was not easily swayed. The result was a breach of contract lawsuit. The problem solver was none other than Dokgo Cheol. He intentionally knelt and apologized in front of Go Hee-young in a crowded place, pressuring her to accept his proposal. Unaware of this, Bong Cheong-ja thanked Go Hee-young, only to receive harsh words in return. Feeling guilty that someone dear to her suffered humiliation because of her, Bong Cheong-ja shed tears upon seeing Dokgo Cheol. He comforted her, saying, "It's a manager's job to protect their actor."

A twist awaited Bong Cheong-ja. After a successful drama comeback with 'Musadagi,' she enjoyed a celebratory party amidst flashing cameras. However, the joyous cheers didn't last long. The revelation that Bong Cheong-ja is Im Se-ra shocked everyone. In the sudden turn of events, Dokgo Cheol held Bong Cheong-ja's hand tightly.

As they ran away from the pursuing reporters, their bright smiles hinted at a new chapter. Meanwhile, Kang Doo-won's suspicious actions in preparing Im Se-ra's comeback project, and the epilogue featuring top actor Won Ban, who confessed, "I liked her alone. Im Se-ra was my first love," foreshadowed significant changes for the comeback show.
