Renowned musician Kim Tae-won, leader of the legendary band Boohwal, shared his unique philosophy on money and music, stating, "A rocker doesn't chase money; money follows."

On the October 6th episode of MBN's 'Dongchimi', the theme was "No Money, No Pride?" where Kim Tae-won reflected on his 40-year career in music and his views on financial success.

Kim expressed, "A rocker should not pursue money. It naturally follows," emphasizing his belief. He added, "There is no song that I can guarantee will be a 100% success, but over time, some unexpectedly gain love because they hold memories."

Fellow musician Joo Young-hoon supported Kim's statement, mentioning that Boohwal's iconic song 'Never Ending Story' generates significant royalties whenever it is featured on shows like 'King of Mask Singer'. He noted, "IU sang it voluntarily, turning it into a national anthem, which skyrocketed Kim's royalty ranking into the top 10."

Kim humorously responded, "Aren't you in the top 3 for royalties, Joo Young-hoon?" to which Joo waved his hands in denial, bringing laughter to the set.

Having dedicated 40 years to music, Kim Tae-won concluded, "I chose music over money, but in the end, music saved me and brought money along," offering an inspiring message to aspiring musicians.
