K-Pop Star Song Ga-in Charms Fans with New Hit 'Love Mambo' and Radio Appearance

On the afternoon of the 3rd, Song Ga-in appeared on MBC Standard FM's 'Son Tae-jin's Trot Radio' (referred to as 'SonTrot') and showcased her vibrant energy.
Returning to 'SonTrot' after about six months, Song Ga-in kicked off the show with a live performance of 'Passing By,' a track from her fourth studio album 'Gain; Moon,' instantly getting listeners moving. She then introduced her new song 'Love Mambo,' candidly sharing, “This is the first time I'm performing a song with choreography from start to finish. I uploaded a dance practice video on YouTube, but I'm still a bit shy about fully letting go.”
Song Ga-in also revealed behind-the-scenes stories about working with composer Seol Woon-do on 'Love Mambo.' She said, “The teacher promised to give me a song that would appeal to younger audiences, so I had no worries. However, the melody was so upbeat that I wondered if I should dance,” she laughed. She added, “I was warming up my voice during the recording, and the teacher said, 'That's enough,' and we finished recording in less than an hour, which was surprising.”
Additionally, Song Ga-in and Son Tae-jin, who received a one-point lesson, danced together to 'Love Mambo,' raising the excitement. Song Ga-in expressed confidence, saying, “This song will be like a second 'Love Twist.' 'Love Mambo' is a hit for me.” She continued, “I've mostly performed serious and slow traditional trot songs, but now I'm thrilled to have a song that gets everyone up and dancing.”
The show also featured a candid Q&A session with Song Ga-in. When asked, “If a trot version of the animated series 'KPop Demon Hunters' Season 2 were made, what role would you want to play?” Song Ga-in chose a beautiful, tragic heroine with less presence over a villain with a strong impression, explaining, “Actors who play villains in dramas often get scolded even after the show ends, and that scares me.”
Meanwhile, Song Ga-in, who recently made a comeback with 'Love Mambo,' has surpassed 100,000 subscribers on her official YouTube channel.
