Actor Park Yong-woo has shared his deep affection for the upcoming drama 'Eunsoo's Good Day,' set to premiere on September 20.

The new KBS 2TV weekend mini-series 'Eunsoo's Good Day' follows the story of Kang Eunsoo, a parent determined to protect her family, and Lee Kyung, a teacher with a double life. The two become entangled in a dangerous partnership after stumbling upon a bag of drugs.

Park Yong-woo takes on the role of Jang Tae-goo, the ace team leader of the narcotics division at Gwangnam Police Station, who is on the trail of a drug trafficking organization. Known for his intuition, Tae-goo, nicknamed 'Shaman,' has a knack for getting confessions without resorting to violence. His pursuit of the lost drug bag leads him to cross paths with the seemingly ordinary housewife Kang Eunsoo, played by Lee Young-ae, raising his suspicions. Despite his cold exterior, Tae-goo is a character filled with inner loneliness and emptiness, adding depth to the narrative.

Park Yong-woo chose 'Eunsoo's Good Day' because "the script was exceptional. A good script makes the reader feel the emotions of the characters, and I found myself tense, laughing, and crying as I read it. The charm of the main characters remains strong throughout, which was impressive," he said.

Regarding his portrayal of Jang Tae-goo, Park emphasized, "I focused on how to subtly express the character's stoic demeanor as a detective while conveying his hidden inner wounds." He added, "Tae-goo is a character who constantly has to make decisions between monstrous criminals, victims, and innocent people. His choices will impact many," heightening anticipation for his performance.

Park Yong-woo praised his co-stars Lee Young-ae and Kim Young-kwang, saying, "Acting with great actors is the greatest joy. I was thrilled to work with Lee Young-ae, whom I always wanted to collaborate with, and her performance on set was astonishing. I had missed the chance to work with Kim Young-kwang before, so it was delightful to reunite and witness his matured acting skills."

Describing his character with the keywords 'lack' and 'loneliness,' Park explained, "All the characters in the drama are intertwined with their own wounds, feeling a sense of lack and loneliness, ultimately driven by emotions rooted in love. Jang Tae-goo is no exception."

He concluded by expressing confidence in the drama, "I want to boast about the actors' performances. Expect an unpredictable and thrilling storyline. 'Eunsoo's Good Day' is a rare drama that combines entertainment, emotion, and lingering impact."

'Eunsoo's Good Day' premieres on September 20 at 9:20 PM.
