YouTuber Lala Shares Heartwarming Parenting Journey on 'The Return of Superman'

On the October 27th episode of KBS2's 'The Return of Superman' (directed by Kim Young-min), episode 587 titled 'Your Shining Today,' featured hosts Park Soo-hong, Choi Ji-woo, and Ahn Young-mi alongside super dad Shim Hyung-tak and super mom Lala. The show continues to enjoy strong viewership, recording a 3.6% rating nationwide, according to Nielsen Korea.
In this episode, Lala made her debut as a 'super mom,' introducing her 12-month-old daughter, Seobin, for the first time on television. The mother-daughter duo, who share a striking resemblance, brought excitement to the show. Lala humorously shared, “I’ve been running around so much after Seobin that I lost a toenail,” highlighting the hectic nature of her parenting life.
Seobin particularly stood out with her unique eating habits. She captivated viewers by demanding food with loud shouts when her meal was interrupted. After finishing her baby food, she impressively downed 120ml of formula in just 2 minutes and 45 seconds, prompting Park Soo-hong to exclaim, “Wow, I’ve never seen a baby like this before,” marking the arrival of a new eating sensation.

Lala also shared her feelings as a working mom, expressing, “I feel guilty for not spending enough time with my child, but I’ve learned that quality matters more than quantity in parenting.” She revealed her efforts to make the most of their time together, even transforming into a character named 'Lee Myung-hwa' with rapid aging makeup and a quirky outfit to entertain Seobin. Despite her mom's transformation, Seobin remained calm and showcased her adorable charm, dancing energetically to her mom’s singing, capturing the hearts of online aunts and uncles.
Lala confessed that becoming a mother has turned her into an advocate for pregnancy. “I got married because I was pregnant. I used to be against marriage, but my perspective changed with marriage and childbirth,” she shared. “I wish I had known the joy of raising a child when I was twenty.” She added, “Seobin is my everything. I don’t mind if my body breaks down. Seeing my happy child is my greatest joy,” expressing how spending time with Seobin is a source of immense happiness despite her busy schedule.
