G-DRAGON's Birthday Bash: A Viral Hit with Unstoppable Laughter

G-DRAGON, born in 1988, made a memorable appearance on the web show 'Try Not to Laugh Birthday Party,' delivering a powerful dose of humor. Previously, this web show has featured popular stars like Byun Woo-seok, Cha Eun-woo, and IU, garnering significant attention.

On the afternoon of the 18th, 'G-DRAGON's Try Not to Laugh Birthday Party' was released on Yoo Byung-jae's YouTube channel. The video, which had already sparked excitement when teased on Yoo Byung-jae's social media last month, received an explosive response, surpassing 1.9 million views within just 14 hours of its release.

G-DRAGON captivated the audience with his vibrant yet relaxed appearance, donning red glasses, a blue shirt, and red pants. The birthday celebration was attended by a diverse group of guests, including host Yoo Byung-jae, comedian Kim Yong-myung, MMA fighter Choi Hong-man, makeup artist Risabae, and world-renowned beatboxer Wing.

The event was filled with memes centered around G-DRAGON, inducing laughter throughout. Yoo Byung-jae introduced G-DRAGON with the 'Sun Meme,' saying, "Isn't my friend cool? My friend is quite rebellious, isn't he?" This set the stage for a series of hilarious memes. Kim Yong-myung cleverly combined the summer's hottest meme, "Stop talking and turn on the air conditioner to full power!" with G-DRAGON's song 'PO￦ER,' leaving everyone, including G-DRAGON, in stitches. Notably, the appearance of Carder Garden's son, Yoo I-jin, stole the show with his innocent humor and adorable reactions.

Despite trying to suppress his laughter, G-DRAGON couldn't help but smile throughout the event. He shared his thoughts on the party, saying, "I had a great time. I couldn't laugh, but I enjoyed it," and continued the 'Try Not to Laugh Challenge' even while blowing out his birthday cake candles.

G-DRAGON is currently on his third world tour, 'G-DRAGON 2025 WORLD TOUR [Übermensch],' which kicked off in Korea. He has successfully completed 11 city tours and is set to perform in Newark on August 22nd and 23rd, followed by shows in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Paris, France.

Alongside the world tour, a media exhibition is also taking place. The 'G-DRAGON MEDIA EXHIBITION: Übermensch,' which encapsulates the message of his third studio album through digital media art, has been showcased in Seoul, Tokyo, and Taiwan. It will be available in Hong Kong until September 7th and in Osaka, Japan, from August 30th to September 15th.
