Former AOA Member Lim Do-hwa Celebrates Wedding with Longtime Friends

Lim Do-hwa, formerly known as Chanmi of the girl group AOA, showcased her enduring friendship with her former bandmates on the recent episode of TV Chosun's 'Joseon's Love'.

The episode aired on the 18th, featuring Lim Do-hwa's wedding to her church senior, Song Eui-hwan, who is five years her senior. Lim joined the show as a new 'lovebird', sharing the joyous news of her marriage.

Ahead of her wedding, Lim introduced her fiancé as her 'husband', revealing, "We are already living together. We've been cohabiting for about six months, so everyone around us thinks we're already married."

Lim, who halted her activities with AOA in July 2020 due to internal conflicts, shared, "I still keep in touch with the AOA members I worked with until the end—Jimin, Hyejeong, Seolhyun, and Yuna."

After concluding a 12-year career as a top idol, Lim changed her name and embarked on a new journey as an actress. She expressed, "I find joy in having goals to reach and achieving them step by step. I've experienced building something up only to see it collapse in an instant. Building quickly is futile."

Reflecting on her relationship, Lim expressed gratitude, saying, "I don't know how I would have endured without him during tough times." Her fiancé described her as having "a glamorous exterior but a quiet and upright character with a deep inner self."

On the wedding day, AOA members Seolhyun, Jimin, and Hyejeong attended as guests. Lim, upon seeing Jimin, became emotional, saying, "Seeing you makes me want to cry." Lim's mother warmly embraced Jimin, recalling how Jimin's father was kind to the members. Seolhyun and Hyejeong watched the youngest member's wedding with smiles, seated at the same table.
