Yoon Shi-yoon Opens Up About His Heartbreaking Family History on 'My Little Old Boy'

On the October 17th episode of SBS's variety show 'My Little Old Boy', Yoon Shi-yoon's mother was seen embarking on a trip to Mongolia.
During the episode, Yoon's mother caught attention with her long hair and white dress. Yoon revealed that his mother became a parent at the age of 20, giving birth to him. He recounted, "When I was a baby, I cried continuously for three days, but we couldn't afford to go to the hospital. My mother couldn't produce milk, so I couldn't be breastfed." His mother shared that she couldn't eat properly during her pregnancy, and upon his birth, she immediately checked if he had all his fingers, toes, and facial features, highlighting the struggles they faced.

Yoon recalled, "While working at a salon, my mother told me not to call her 'mom' in front of customers. If they knew she was married, they wouldn't give her work. After the customers left, I would joyfully call her 'mom' and jump on the sofa."
Yoon's mother further shared, "When he was in third grade, I brought him back, but he had a sports day at school. I couldn't attend because of work, but I managed to visit briefly. I saw him sitting alone, eating instant noodles, and realized that living together was my selfish desire, so I had to send him back."
Yoon responded, "Is that why you sent me back? I never knew. You were in your mid-20s then. No one could have done what you did." He added, "Even during those times, having my mom visit school was a source of pride for me. She was younger and more beautiful than other moms, and she dressed up to not lose face." Shin Dong-yup, who was present, empathized, "It was tough for me too. I was sent to live with my grandparents when I was four," he said, tearing up.
