Lee Ji-hye Reveals the Untold Story Behind Her Departure from K-pop Group S#arp

Lee Ji-hye recently shared a revealing video on her YouTube channel, 'Not So Annoying Attention Seeker Sister,' titled 'The Reason Lee Ji-hye Betrayed Jang Seok-hyun of S#arp After 20 Years.'

In the video, Lee Ji-hye is joined by her husband, former S#arp member Jang Seok-hyun, and his wife. Lee Ji-hye clarified, "Many think I was the leader of S#arp, but it was actually Jang Seok-hyun." Jang responded, "I delegated that role." Lee Ji-hye added, "He was our leader and rapper, even though he couldn't always voice his opinions loudly."

Jang Seok-hyun modestly stated, "I didn't do much; I was just the leader and rapper." Lee Ji-hye's husband chimed in, "Weren't you the face of the group?" Lee Ji-hye agreed, recalling, "I remember when we first met; he was a model for Storm, which was a gateway for top stars."

Lee Ji-hye mentioned, "Many successful figures like Kim Ha-neul and So Ji-sub came from there. Fellow S#arp members Oh Hee-jong and Seo Ji-young were also part of that group. I joined later, and that's how it all came together."

Jang Seok-hyun shared his debut story, "I came to Seoul with friends by chance and auditioned. Luckily, I passed the first, second, and fourth rounds." Reflecting on their busy schedule, he said, "We'd gather at dawn, go to the hair salon, then the broadcasting station, travel to different locations, and do live shows all in one day."

Lee Ji-hye added, "We'd go straight to our schedules after washing up. It was hectic and exhausting. Looking back, we were all sensitive due to our individual responsibilities, which made it hard to understand Seo Ji-young and Jang Seok-hyun at the time." She also recalled that the S#arp members didn't meet for a while after the group's disbandment.
