KBS 2TV's 'Walking On Thin Ice' Unveils First Teaser, Promising Intense Drama

The first teaser for 'Walking On Thin Ice' has been released.

KBS 2TV's new weekend mini-series 'Walking On Thin Ice' (directed by Song Hyun-wook, written by Jeon Young-shin, produced by Baram Pictures and Slingshot Studio) tells the story of a parent, Kang Eunsoo, who wants to protect her family, and a teacher with two faces, Lee Kyung, as they embark on a dangerous and desperate partnership after accidentally acquiring a bag of drugs.

'Walking On Thin Ice' is a well-crafted production by director Song Hyun-wook, known for his mastery of detail across various genres, and writer Jeon Young-shin, celebrated for her dense realism and delicate writing. The series stars Lee Young-ae, Kim Young-kwang, and Park Yong-woo, along with talented actors Bae Soo-bin, Jo Yeon-hee, and Hwang Jae-yeol, making it one of the most anticipated dramas of the year.

The teaser, released on the 5th, encapsulates the perilous journey of Kang Eunsoo (played by Lee Young-ae) as she fights to maintain her ordinary life. It heightens the tension by showing Eunsoo's determined gaze as she opens the bag and her swift transition from a parent-teacher relationship to a partnership with Lee Kyung (played by Kim Young-kwang).

Lee Young-ae's life-or-death motorcycle chase and the looming fear in unfamiliar settings ironically reveal that Eunsoo's days are far from 'good.' Particularly, Eunsoo's resigned smile and the line, "Nothing happened," at the end of the teaser foreshadow impending tragedy, increasing curiosity about her fate.

The production team stated, "The first teaser paradoxically captures how Eunsoo's once ordinary life is driven to the edge and the massive tragedy hidden behind her resignation. Even in the short video, Lee Young-ae's detailed emotional acting and Kim Young-kwang's duality create intense suspense, ensuring viewers won't be able to let their guard down for a moment."

KBS 2TV's new weekend mini-series 'Walking On Thin Ice' premieres on September 20th at 9:20 PM.
