Kang Ji-seop expressed, "I wonder if speaking about this will only stir up trouble. People have forgotten, and some even ask if it really happened, but it's an issue that needs to be addressed." He continued, "I went there seeking a place of solace. I wanted to endure the tough entertainment industry in the right way. I didn't want to fall into temptations like relationships, alcohol, or other negative paths." He also revealed, "Women suffered physical harm, and men were financially exploited. We were continuously gaslighted."
Kang Ji-seop was previously accused of being a JMS follower. These allegations resurfaced in 2023 with the release of the Netflix documentary 'In the Name of God: A Holy Betrayal', which delves into stories related to JMS leader Jung Myung-seok.
