South Korean Actor Song Young-kyu Found Dead in Car Amid Ongoing Investigation

According to reports, Song was discovered deceased in a vehicle at a townhouse in Cheoin-gu, Yongin City, around 8 a.m. on the 4th. A friend reportedly alerted the police, who are now investigating the exact cause of death.
Recently, Song faced legal issues related to a DUI charge. On the night of the 19th of last month, after drinking with friends, he drove approximately 5 kilometers from Giheung-gu to Cheoin-gu in Yongin City. He was caught at the scene following a citizen's report, with a blood alcohol level exceeding 0.08%, the threshold for license revocation.
Song Young-kyu debuted in 1994 with the children's musical 'Murtle the Wizard' and delivered memorable performances in films such as 'Extreme Job,' 'V.I.P.,' and 'Trick.' He also served as a special professor in the Department of Performing Arts at Semyung University. Until recently, he was actively involved in the industry, appearing as Pastor Yoon Se-hoon in the ENA drama 'I Shopping' and as rugby coach Kim Min-jung in the SBS drama 'Try: We Become a Miracle.'
